Been scratching the WHF painting itch recently, and I got to thinking if there ever was a mercenary warband - one that allowed you to piecemeal units from various factions. I was working on a Warhammer Quest theme diorama, and currently have odds and ends such as a Dwarf Slayer, an Empire Wizard, a Kislevite Ranger, the WHQ Witch Hunter, etc.

No, but I don't see why you couldn't create your own. Mordheim was always a game that invited creativity.

Not that I recall.

Most warbands had a "weakness" or "theme" like T4 and movement 3' for dwarves, and T3 and M6 for skaven. Cherrypicking would pretty much be what the kids call OP these days.

But a regular mercenary team (marienburgers) would perhaps have enough cash to hire hired swords etc to make something varied enough as what you are discussing.
