Im currently experimenting with daemons and chaos space marines with all the new meta and I have an incredible disdain for all the psychic powers being thrown around. Whats the best way to deny the witch while maintaining a psychic presence myself?

Run a partially Khorne list with flesh hounds and Karanak. The Murderhorde is a good way to do this, and any psyker manifesting a power within 12" of Karanak perils on any double rolled. And the hounds have collars of khorne which add to their deny roll.

Then just mix in some tzeentch and get warp charges yourself. Invisible flesh hounds are pretty gnarly if you can fit be'lakor into your list.

I do it by dominating the psyk phase myself- with chaos you can bring a lot of warp charges.

This is what burns me the most when I take GK or my Guard/Inquisition list. Both have an average number of warp charges, but against Eldar or Chaos it's miserable. That much ability to deny (even blessings, where you almost always need a 6) really hurts.

It's actually quite tough to deny buffs, even if you have a lot of dice.
That's because the chances of getting a 6 on your deny rolls is pretty tough. When you need to get multiple 6's, it's extraordinarily tough.

As others have mentioned, if you are trying to stop powers used against your army, you can use tricks like the khorne collars are having psykers. Changing that deny roll to either a 5+ or 4+ makes all the difference in the world.

When denying at a 6+ though, not much can be blocked.
