G'day, I got into
40k about 2 years ago now, and found myself coming here at least on a monthly basis since then...but for some reason I never actually got around to making an account...so I figured it's about zoggin' time I changed that!- so here I am!
My hobby budget isn't anywhere near what I'd like it to be, and my "local" store's a good hour away, and I don't have a car...so I don't make it there too often...and so I tend to resort to late-night impulse-buying on ebay to get a lot of my stuff...I probably have entirely too much stuff already...but I always want more
I'm definitely mostly an ork player/collector...so far I've got...something silly like 10k-12k points of orks (only 1 stompa, no other gargants or anything), a fair bit of that is painted, but a lot of that is still either unpainted, or ebay job-lot "fixer-upperz"
I'm also a big fan of all things nurgle...I've got a growing army of nurgle
CSM that I still want to add a lot to, currently at around 2k points I think, not sure...
...and to go with that, or just standalone, nurgle daemons...I got one of the "start collecting: nurgle daemons" boxes and painted that up...and have since bought 2 more of those, and another box of plaguebearers and nurglings, and just bought a metal current
gw sculpt great unclean one off ebay - though I plan on converting a glottkin into a "proper" great unclean one in the future
...soo...probably around 2k points of nurgle daemons too, though most of that needs to be assembled and painted and everything'd
I've also got a bunch of space marine stuff sitting around, including an old job-lot off ebay with a load of old rogue trader to 3rd ed models and a funky old rogue trader dreadnought
...they all need stripping and a touch of repair-work here and there, but I love 'em.....but, I just can't, for the life of me, settle on a chapter!...I struggle to even settle on a top 5 chapters...so they're just warming the bench for now...the whispers of chaos, and the bellow of the WAAAGH!!! are blocking the light of the emperor too much at the moment...but their time will come...

40k...
I've also got a "nearly done" menoth-half of the Warmachine 2-player starter box, though I haven't played a game of that yet...maybe one day...though there's new rules and stuff coming out isn't there?...guess I'll have to see what that's all about then...meh, one day.
And last of all, I'm just starting to get into Infinity, got the 2-player starter box for that a couple of days ago, and decided I really like the look and background of Nomads, got some more nomad models to go with it too...the game sounds fun and different, and just wow, the models for that game are gorgeous!
...I'm nearly done painting the first model for it, and I'm loving them so far!
All in all, I'd have to say I'm more of a painter/hobbyist/collector, than a player, though i definitely like getting the models out on the table every now and then
...though, I'm still pretty much a bumbling noob with most of the rules and stuff...looking stuff up all the time, etc...so games can take a little while(ok, ages)...specially considering the good ol' ork movement phase too
Righto...I think I've rambled on for quite long enough now, for what was just going to be "a quick little intro post"
...so I'll leave it there...and it's 3:30am, so I should probably go to bed!
