So has anyone else noticed the giant degree in sizes for storm bolters(rhetorical I'm sure). So what size is the right one. The ones for vehicles are absolutely huge. Yarricks is super small in comparison. My terminators vary from my chapter master. What size should I be using if going to kit bash some guys?

GW sculptors seem to adjust sizes to make them fit the models (After all, a human wielding a Terminator sized weapon would be ridiculous, they could hardly lift it). So it depends on the size of the models you are converting. If they're in Power Armour get some Storm Bolters from Power Armour kits (Sternguard, Sergeants etc.), if they're Terminators the choice is obvious, and if they're mortals then find some human sized ones.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

It's a phenomenon common to all GW weapons. Most every classic GW weapon (especially the imperials) has existed in at least 3-4 or more size permutations.

If you're going to kitbash just find the one that looks least ridiculous on your miniature of choice.

The same issue exists for Power firsts; an Imperial Guard power fist looks like a moderately large Space Marine glove while the Centurion Power fists look comically large even on terminators.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
