Want some opinions on this Helbrute. I started painting him last night. I know I need to touch up some accidental spots and fill in some of the thinner areas. Still have to paint some more black and white base colors on mechanical parts and the horns growing out of the side. That and on the flesh connecting to the gun I need to finish basecoating it.

I haven't painted minis in I want to say 3 years, and the only ones I have painted lately were basically speed painted (CSM using dip method for shading, Necron warriors which are simple). So I personally feel I have thus far done a decent job. Opinions? Criticism?

You got a good solid base coat on and thats half the battle. I think the flesh parts need about two highlights and a shade, and on the red I would do at least one highlight and a shade. Very good start!

Thank you! This model has been a blast to paint thus far!

Yeah I just haven't gotten to it yet. Want to get all the individual things basecoated smoothly then I am going to do a wash and a highlite on it.

Looks good now, better with some shades and highlights. A little bit of basing and you have the start of a army

Much better with that shade! Looks like a different model!
