So the question is this, if you have straken and Nork deddog in a unit, which one  will be fighting in a challenge?

Straken has the special rule called "gung ho", where he must always issue and accept a challenge whenever possible.

Nork has the special rule "loyal to the end" where he must declare a glorius intervention and automatically passes the test.

Straken is a much better character for challenges and would much prefer him to take them, but the way I read it is that straken must first issue the challenge and then Nork has to fight it for him.

Thoughts?

Based on what you've provided, Straken must issue/accept if able. Once the challenge has been started, at the start of the next fight sub-phase, Nork jumps in.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.
