Okay, so this is probably a difficult one... Does anyone know of any non-European-inspired fantasy minis? What I mean is, any fantasy whose aesthetic isn't inspired by (or straight-up ripped from) medieval England or various European countries of a similar era (or, as can often be the case, a mishmash of many). This can be Arab-inspired, various Asian and African countries, anything. I just want some armor-and-shield warriors out there on the board who look different from what we're all used to.

Now, I've seen the odd mini of course, but I'm talking about enough to build a small army off of. There are a few stipulations:

-They need to be roughly in scale with Warhammer Fantasy miniatures. The LOTR Fallen Realms would be perfect (especially the Easterlings...), but I've seen LOTR minis in person, and unfortunately they'd be far too small next to my other humans. It's also occurred to me to use historical war minis, but I have a similar concern about them.
-They need to be affordable to buy in enough quantity to make large-ish regiments of men. The other problem with those LOTR minis is how much they cost compared to how many guys you get.
-This isn't crucial, but I'd prefer they be wearing armor, so I don't have to do too much sculpting on that many guys.

So... have I just ruled out practically everything?

Clan Wars was the old L5R mini’s game. Lots of oriental themed stuff there.

GW Lizard Men = Seraphon are heavily inspired by Aztecs.

Various one-off Japanese figures here...

including a rather nice set of haunted household objects.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Thank you all for the suggestions!

Hmm! Those Aegyptus minis are mighty appealing, though I wish there were more humans in the Aegyptus faction... It bugs me how the non-European-inspired factions are usually non-human too (like the Lizardmen for example, or the Ogre Kingdoms)... But anyway, I should have specified I was after humans. The Asar are a good option for that though.

Bushido is more skirmish themed, not many regiment type minis in there unfortunately. I'm not sure if the Wargames Foundry stuff will work just because I was hoping for some armored characters... HMM. Does anyone know if the Wargames Factory plastic kits scale well with WHFB? Maybe I should be considering more historical ranges after all.

You can fill in Aegyptus humans from several different historical ranges.

Unfortunately if you're looking for armoured figures, you've automatically ruled out big chunks of the world.

Try India and China for armoured ancient fantasy-ish humans.

Yeah, I'm aware unfortunately. It's just that I will be using them as stand-ins for either Empire or Bretonnia figures in a WHFB army, so they need armor, and I COULD sculpt all of that, but... Well, that's a lot of work. I'll consider it, however.

Wargames foundry has several ranges of non-european minis. Perry twins have neat historical models too, sudanese tribesmen for instance. I know there is a plastic arab speaemen/archer kit out there but i cant remember who makes it right now. Maybe Warlord games has something too?
