Hey guys,

Does anyone have any insight or helpful advice with regards to building plague drones?

I just got half way through my first one and got really frustrated with it. I've pulled the legs out and I'm thinking about just magnetising the legs / wings.
Also, whats with the hole for the flying stand? The stand goes right into the body, meaning the body sits really low on the stand and the legs are longer than the stand so they wont go on the base properly.

I appreciate your advice
Z

assembled my first box of these recently, yeah they were a bit of a pain...I spent a good deal of time dry-fitting all the legs and wings on them with blutack, figuring out decent poses for them that would still *just* clear the base, with the silly-short flight stand...then just slogged through it and patiently glued it all together....I was slightly terrified of painting in and around all those gangly bits, but it wasn't actually all that bad in the end...

...if I was going to do it again though, I'd probably stick some sprue inside the body where the hole is, leaving about 5-10mm for the flight stand to still slot in, and stick a magnet inside, and on the end of the flight stand...to both make it sit taller, and for convenience

...I toyed with the idea of magnetising all the legs and wings too...but that would mean 20 magnets per drone, and I honestly just couldn't be bothered ...if you can be bothered, then sure, that would probably be a great idea, I can't help but feel those legs and wings will just snap right off if I so much as look at 'em funny...

*I'll add to this, that I didn't actually glue them to the flight stands...they're just sitting on them freely...which probably made painting the underside of the body considerably easier now that I think about it...

I did some at the weekend remember that the little legs go at the front... its not clear in the instructions. As to the legs i found if you angle them back so there trailing works well. And yes the flight hole is not good expecilly for the one in the belly, this one i left off the stinger and use that instead and i've not glued them onto the stands as painting would be a pita.
