Hey all, while I am not new to the forums I seemed to have hit a snafu with my old email thus compromising my login here.

Regardless of that, I moved out here about a year ago and cannot seem to find people willing to catch me up on the rules (been playing since 3rd and haven't been able to learn the new rules). I am trying to find games outside of the GW store cliques of teens with neckbeards. I am free every weekend as well as most weeknights. I have around 1500 points of DE, Eldar and Nids and just want to get some friendly games in so all this painting I have been doing gets to see some table time.

Thanks!

While I don't play 40k myself, there's a pretty decent crew at Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn. They seem to play mostly on Friday evenings, and usually have both some kind of casual league and a competitive league going on, as well as monthly tournaments on Saturdays.

Not knowing exactly where you are, if you're near Alexandria you may want to contact Eagle & Empire games. It's been a couple of years since we were in that area but there were fairly regular game nights for different systems. I'd call first to make sure they're still in business and doing game nights.

In Falls Church there's both Compleat Strategist and Victory COmics which are both good stores and about 5 min from each other.

The store finder up top has them.

Hey I live in downtown DC. I have about 2000 pts of both Ad Mech and Raven Guard Space Marines. I am still pretty much a beginner from a playing perspective but I would be interested in starting to play a bit more.

Of the places in the area, Huzzah was my favorite for just about any gaming. It was too far away to hit routinely but when I did get out there it was always a good experience.

I can also recommend Huzzah, I haven't gotten a lot of games in there but I get various supplies every few weeks. They have a calendar of events online so you can plan on going during a 40k night.

Other than that you can always try the player finder on here.

I live down in Woodbridge, but I swing by E&E once a month or so. Down here, there is a long-standing group called the Iron Fist League you might be interested in:

They meet on Thursday nights at a store called Patriot Games.
