Subject: WAAAGH Meet Canada - looking for Ork players in Canada (and Ontario in particular)

Hey everyone,
So, on another website, someone was talking about an event held annually in the UK called "WaaaghMeet", where they get a bunch of Ork players to go to Warhammer World together.
some online acquaintances and I were talking about this, and while we don't have a Warhammer World in Canada, we were thinking of seeing if we could arrange for a WaaaghMeet here. We just need to get a sense of how many Ork Players we have over here. We'd likely try to do something in, say, the Toronto area if that's central to most people (or some other suitably central city).
Would anyone be interested?

"Most excellent. They can't escape us now!"

Certainly an interesting proposition, I'm guessing you're talking about the WAAAGH! forum? Currently, I'm the only Ork player in my gaming circle right now so meeting some fellow ladz face to face would be fun. I live in Ontario as well so Toronto would be great and accessible for me.

Interesting. There are a couple of Ork players in Central Newfoundland that I know of. The Big T. O. Is only a days drive after the ferry.

I live in Oakville Ontario and am technically an Ork player due to owning DA GREEN TIDE (although it's more like the grey tide right now, since I freaked out at the prospect of painting 100 orks).
I'd be up for it if it's within a reasonable distance. I'll be getting a car soon so anything within a day's drive would be acceptable for me (I may be able to do some train rides but I avoid flying if at all possible since I have a fear of heights).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |
