I fought with space wolves, chaos and blood angels. But how can I beat the factions one on one. Any tactics or preferred models for the imperial guard or the orks. I seem to be losing on the front. And i need advice

What kind of lists are people using? That would help with giving tactics.

I don't think you're understanding. There are multiple ways to play this game with each faction, so we need to know what kind of list you run, what the enemy usually brings, what gimmicks and tricks they like to exploit, how competitive y'all are, what your end game is (fun or winning at all costs) etc. The more specific you are the more help we can be.

Well, if you're facing assault heavy armies as the IG, there are a few things I generally recommend.
1) Large numbers of Conscripts or basic infantry mooks with flamers/Priests. These units are really great at tarpitting enemy melee units. The Guard really doesn't do "mobility", so if the enemy is fast (like orks, BA, and SW frequently are) they'll get to you. So what you should do is create a way to halt the CC machine before it gets to your really expensive tanks and such.
My setup for Guard involves a 50 man platoon with 5 flamers and a priest, with 20 conscripts and a priest standing in front. If the enemy rolls with fast melee and very little shooting, say, Thunderwolf-heavy SW, I pull the priest out of the conscripts before the enemy's melee units hit me (ensuring that they will 100% die in the assault, and allow me a turn of point-blank shooting to kill stuff)
2) Wyverns are your best friend against heavy horde armies like Orks. They are by far our best anti-infantry tools.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |
