Okay, so I've been playing some narrative events mostly, using my Eldar, but I feel like my Eldar are kind of evolving past the point of 1000 point casual-ish games, unless I really want to pound a dude's face in with my wk and scatbikes (I haven't used these units in 1k games yet, and have no real desire to be TFG in low points, but there is one guy that just.... it would be so satisfying). Anyway! So I look to my secondary, small Daemon collection and the great desire I have to play the Cyclopia Cabal (and pretty much nothing else CSM).

So I'm looking at using my Nurgle daemons (which are pretty much all I have) and a new Cabal that is my next project in the following list:

Cyclopia Cabal:

3x Sorcerer on bike, ML 3, Force Swords (keeping them as separate units because I want to shriek for days)

Tallyband:

Herald of Nurgle, ML 2 (probably rolling biomancy), Doomsday Bell, Greater Locus of Fecundity, Greater Reward, Lesser Reward (had extra points) -Warlord-

2x 10 Plaguebearers, each with a model upgraded to plagueridden (extra points again)

5x 3 Nurglings

The meta for these events is semi-competitive (so not super hardcore), mostly varying from player to player. Armies I've encountered are Tyranids, CSM, IG, AdMech, Eldar Corsairs, KDK, Tau, and GK. So mostly this list needs to be compared to 1000 points worth of those armies. The CSM player likes his termies, and the Tyranid player has a FW GMC (not sure which one) but those are the toughest units I've had to deal with using my Eldar previously.

Give to me your thoughts! Thanks

2 thoughts:

1. Did you include the cost for Veterans of the Long War for your Sorcerers? They need it because it's Black Legion.

2. Where will you put the sorcerers? They can't join any of the units so they will be super exposed and shot up pretty fast I would think.

1. Yep yep! If I'm adding this all up right, that puts them at 135 points each.

2. My thoughts were to have them driving around doing psychic phase things, and trying to zip out of sight/into cover/behind other units in the shooting phase. I initially wanted to build sorcerers on discs for the mobility, but I think bikes might be better because of jink. Granted, 2d6 movement is fairly unreliable to get them to (maybe) safety in both cases, but I'm willing to risk it for fun*. Does that seem really bad though? I really haven't used regular bikes yet.

Most of these games only go about 3 turns due to time limits, but I don't want to plan just for that, so if the list seems weak because the sorcerers are driving around alone, that's fine, I'll probably just do an Incursion instead.
