Is this book mandatory, do I have to use it, are the rules added to flyers in the game or is it just another optional supplement?
Cheers

Thread. On the very first page. Discussing exactly this.
Per GW Facebook, it is optional. Per some of the members of this board, mandatory.

It is COMPLETELY optional...as long as you don't field any flyers, lol
Seriously though, you can still just use the rules from the BRB, but you have to be aware that your opponent is free to use the DFTS rules if they want.

If one player is using DFTS then both players need to be using those rules. It may depend on the area you play. If neither player want to run it then there's no need to. In a tournament it will be up to the TO to determine if those rules will be in effect.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
