Codex: Chaos Daemons - Daemonic Incursion Edition

Codex: Chaos Daemons is your complete guide to the armies of the warp. Inside you will find ancient secrets and forbidden lore about the creatures of Chaos and the infernal realm they call home and rules for using them in battle, plus all the additional datasheets, formations, detachments and rules from 'Curse of the Wulfen'.

As well as rules for fielding a Chaos Daemons army in your games of Warhammer 40,000, you will find a stunning showcase depicting the fantastic range of Chaos Daemons models, as well as the iconography of the infernal denizens of the immaterium.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Saw the email for this. It is cool that they are doing this with the various codexes. Makes people who don't want all the rules for the other armies have an option to get the new rules. Not going to get any Daemons, but still cool. Hopefully any supplements for armies I do have will be available this way.

That's pretty cool stuff. That'll make it easier for me to finally get around to making an Infernal Tetrad list!

Wonder if they fix the max powers from a god problem AKA remove the max 1/2 line

It's neat...but wish they'd release a physical version of this and the Space Pooches (like they did with the 're-release' of Tau).

Still, step in a good direction.

Funny thing about the Tau books though is they are missing parts from the campaign books the fortifications in the 1st book and the wings from the 2ed
So I need 3 books for my Tau army with no allies

so, just grabbed the book. It's literally the old book, with the new stuff added to the end. It even has both the old and new psychic charts. So, basically, I'm going to keep playing the "Up to half" rule as not applying to the new powers, as it is not repeated on the page for the new powers. I may be wrong though, hopefully the faq clears it up.

Aww damnit.
It's really nice that they make this bundle, so we don't have to buy Curse of the Wulfen, but it would also have been REALLY nice if they at least would have updated the parts that's outdated and/or incompatible like how Tzeentch daemons get +3 to Leadership when manifesting psychic powers and such.

I'm still debating whether it's worth the 29€ for the added Wulfen rules, but I am tempted.

Rerolling 1's is already pretty darn sweet.

Thanks for the heads up.

Is this a free update if you already have the iBook version of the codex? My iPad is telling me there's an update to the codex, but when I try to update, it says that it's not available in the US.

Would be nice if they released a supplement with only the new stuff like they did for the Astra Mililitarum stuff from Mont'ka (the digital Cadian Supplement), rather than make you buy the whole codex again if you already have a physical copy.
