So, I'm fairly new to Warhammer and I recently bought two plastic rat ogres cheaply on ebay, which I planned on painting to look albino. Unfortunately, the seller has already painted them with a black base paint, which is far too dark (obviously). I don't want to lose any detail on the model, especially in places like the stitch grooves. Do you think its worth stripping the whole model of the paint, or would be it be fine just to paint over it with my new base colour?

Thanks for your help!

If the existing basecoat/primer is thin, a white spray over the top should be fine
