Okay so I will be playing against a Necron player for this 1250 game. This is the third game in a, escalation league we have been doing in which I've lost the previous two games

The league requires that we use the same HQ each game as our warlord. My warlord is a Warboss, and his is Illuminor Szeras. The past few games he has taken a large blob of warriors (who were T5 both times from Szeras), 6 Tomb Blades, a Triarch Stalker, and some immortals. He hasnt taken any vehicles yet, but he does have the models to do so.

My game in which I went mechanized went much better than the game in which I went green tide. He has a lot of blasts, so I think the sheer amount of vehicles on my side will give me a field advantage. In general, though, I have a lot of trouble killing his units when theyre all blobed around his stalker. What are some nice ork tactics I can utilize to get the upperhand?

Without further ado, here is my list: C&C very appreciated

eavy armor, bosspole, lucky stikk, pk

You're on the right track going mechanized, unfortunately trukk boyz might not be the most competitive choice. They need massive overwhelming numbers to be effective but at that squad size they're at a real liability to get shot up or beat down in CC. The real meaty part of your list are the warbikers, their turbo jink bonus makes them very survivable vs Necrons, who don't have a good way to ignore their cover save. They also have the speed to close in CC before they get shot up and the bonus T helps keep them alive when being shot or in CC.

Lootas are generally good, but not as much vs Necrons. It's better to go tankbustas, who at S8 affect the Necron's WBB rolls.

The MANz are a solid choice. I'm ambivalent about the dakkajet.

If you can maybe throw some mega armour on the boss and stick him with the MANz or give him a bike and stick him with the warbikes.

I'd dump the lootaz and the trukk boyz. Grab another unit of 10 gretchin to fill out your troop choices and with the extra points grab more warbikes, tankbustas, and a painboy. Ditch the grot riggers on the trukk too, get rams instead.

Try the link in my sig for more help. Good luck in your game! Maybe type up a mini batrep after, let us know how it goes!

A blitza bomber might serve you better than a dakkajet vs necrons. Armorbane on the bombs can help you crack their vehicle shields. I agree with above about lootas; the only thing they'd really hurt are warriors but even then they can still reanimate. ap3 and tank hunters are more reliable.

Trukk boyz aren't terrible in medium size game, they just require 3 or 4 trukks so they can get up the board. If you decide to use more bikers, watch out for triarch stalkers and tomb blades with nebulascopes (both ignore cover). Grot riggers won't help much since they can glance trukks to death with their infantry. 'eavy armor will only matter in close combat most necron weapons are ap4 or better. A warboss on a bike with a painboy on a bike with survive a lot longer.

I'm not sure what models you own but from my models I would use :
Ork Horde Detachment:
Warboss, klaw, stikk, bike, bosspole 140
Painboy, bike 75
Painboy 50 (for meganobz)
10 boyz, nob upgrade, klaw, trukk, rokkit, reinforced ram 130x3=390
3 meganobz, trukk, rokkit, reinforced ram 155
5 tankbusta, trukk, rokkit, reinforced ram 100x2=200
5 warbikers, nob upgrade, klaw 105
blitza bomber 135

If you don't have enough trukks then drop boyz for grots and add more to the biker and tankbustas unit sizes
