If Catachan had decent models that would be my favorite 40K army.

Their command and heavy weapons squads are some really lovely models, but man that stock infantry kit is... special.

Valhallans for me; I've got like 4000 points of them. The models are great and characterful, not overburdened with detail, and the look of WW2 Russians in 40k is just so appealing.

The catachans have these weird arms for weapons... But the vallhalans are an amazing to me. I love how I put a commissar in a blob of them. I always feel like reenacting enemies at the gate

Call me weird, but I actually like the Cadians. Something about the Stalinist Russia motif that seems to fit the Guard's themes. Same with the Death Korp, and the Steel Legion just looks cool (and would make for a badass metal band name).

1000 Tzeentch Arcanites (Pyrofane Cult - Hysh) in progress

Ive got loads of Steel Legion and some lovely counts as steel legion (check my gallery for some neat conversions!) and i would LOVE to own some DKoK if I had infinite monies. Im also very partial to the style of Mordians because they are so incredibly bad ass and they look pretty cool.

Also I did not include Marbo in my choice, he was already there when I went to submit

17,000 points (Valhallan)
10,000 points
6,000 points (Order of Our Martyred Lady)
Proud Countess of House Terryn hosting 7 Knights, 2 Dominus Knights, and 8 Armigers
Stormcast Eternals: 7,000 points

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Steel Legion all the way, one of the few armies I regret selling.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also, Marbo IS the Imperial Guard. The rest are just there to catch bullets for him.

Valhallan 597th. That's what I play.

I also dig on the notion of the regiments from Ultramar. I'd love to see some on the tabletop sometime.
