The list brings 21 psychic dice with lots of options for summoning and powering the Cabal.
The Cabal joins the Flesh Hounds, giving them the option of outlfanking with acute sense if they perfer. The warpflame host holds the home objectives and acts as a psychic battery or summoning army.
Sure, it might seem to contrary the fluff by having a steed of slaanesh join a squad of flesh hounds, but that’s only because it is...
The jump pack is in preparation for the new FAQ which will allow the hounds to reroll their charge distance.

Are you sure the Sorc with the Mark of Slaanesh on a stead can join a unit of khorne flesh hounds?

Yes Mark of X, can join any daemon of X. Mark and Daemon are different.

But I think the steed, is a Daemon of Slan, so would not be able to join the Dogs which is daemon of khorne.

Check that DJ.

Other than that, you saw what I did with my version of CSM/CD/KDK this past weekend. I approve.

Thanks! Your approval means a lot.

I'm looking in my CSM book and I don't see any of the stats of a seeker under the 'steed of Slaanesh'. There is nothing that indicates it's a daemon of slaanesh. It simply says it gives those traits of +1 attack, +3 run, Acute Sense, and Outflank. According to RAW, you can have the steed join the hounds.

Of course, this makes my head hurt thinking of how raw the RAW is on this one, but hey....part of the fun sometimes is breaking the fluff to run the rules.

Edit : For those that did not know, Todd used a similar at the NOVA Primer GT in Manchester CT over the weekend of May 6th 2016 to win first place. He was able to do this despite competition such as Nick Nanavanti, Kurt Clauss, Jhason Hardy and Alexander Finnell. It's not the list that won, it was the player -- as Todd is a fantastic player. The list gave him the tools he needed.

None of the Daemonic mounts make you a daemon or count as one. They're simply a mount. If they were daemons you'd get a 5++ and could cast malefic daemonology without super perils. Neither of those are true.

It's extremely unfluffy, but otherwise legal RAW. Good luck to you sir!

I forgot to ask. Why the Slaanesh guy? For Acute Senses?

Outflanking, Acute Senses, and to thumb my nose at GW for making such a blatant exploit of the fluff possible.

FYI the hounds have Scout (obviously) which also gives you Outflank, so you're just getting Acute Senses from the Slaanesh Sorcerer. So unless you really want Acute Senses I think it makes more sense to leave him unmarked for an extra psychic roll on Biomancy or telepathy.

Or if you really want to make thumb your nose at GW for the rules problem then I won't stop you!

There are 2 slaanesh powers that benfit, so rolling on the table to get Hysteria is not a bad option. (Giving the hounds +1 STR, Init, or Attack). Symphony of pain lowers the WS of the target by 1, meaning that anything with a WS of 3 will be hitting the flesh hounds on a 5+ in assault.

Since you can no longer stack buffing spells or cast the same offensive power multiple times, having everyone roll on Biomancy or Telepathy is not as good as it once was.

Those are good points. With the power casting change then it may make sense for more options at powers.

If you have any other suggestions for trees to roll in, I'd love your input.

One thought was that I could have the herald use divination to prescience the hounds.

It's no less fluffy than space marines summoning daemons. The dark gods are known to work together to trash realspace, even if they aren't on speaking terms back home.

It's no less fluffy, but it's a heck of a lot more effective.

Summoning powers, at Warp 3 cost, will almost certainly cause a Perils when cast. I wrote an article on the Mathhammer of the psychic phase, and to even have a 50% of getting that summon off, the marine will be peril'ing 92% of the time. Eldar might be able to do it but even with a ghosthelm, suffering that many perils is never a good thing as it will cause loss of dice, powers, and possibly even ID.

Santic powers, on the other hand, which could be cast by the Cabal are WC1 powers, which only have a 17% of perils when cast with a 75% chance of success. That's a much different story.

Good to know on the mounts thing. I didnt know or have a book handy.

So as far as Fluff. My list had undivided Sorc, none had any mark.

If you look at some of my historical post, I love Word Bearers. These are my take on the boys, using any and all means. Such as summoning Daemons, using the knowledge of santic abilities.

Subjugating daemons to do my bidding, and annihilating my enemy with anything in existence or non-existence that will make it easiest to do so.

By my Word!

(Wait till I win the "army of your dreams" contest GW is hosting. All will know my fluff!) lol

And thanks for the kind words Deejay.
