Subject: Flash gits in a trukk or a Looted Wagon?

So I've decided to proxy some Lootas as Flash Gits for now to see how well they run. My question is would they be better in a Trukk or a Looted Wagon? I'm thinking the Looted Wagon since ideally I can throw a Big Mek with a KFF in in it, it's got better armor than a Trukk, and then I can just park it somewhere and let the Flash Gits shoot something while the Wagon shells out some poor schmuck. Thoughts?

If you have the HS slot free, then it's not a bad way to go. Not much price difference but better armour.
It's one extra VP in Big Guns though.

If you have the points to spare, give them a battle wagon. Trukks are fantastic transports for getting from point A to point B, but they get wrecked very soon after getting to point B. If you need stationary survivability, then the Battlewagon is a much better alternative. I used to use a Battlewagon to house 15 lootas to great effect, but had to change to different methods when my opponents brought more drop pod melta, and would explode it turn one and fry half the guys inside.
Alternatively, if your group is OK with forgeworld, you could go with secret option three: a Gunwagon. It has a 13 front instead of 14, holds 10 guys (so just enough for a full squad of flashgitz), but it's only 60 points. So almost half the cost of the battle wagon.

Have you thought about a Gunwagon? They are pretty nice and appealing. Mini-BWs.

Big squig can be another good alternative if you're not opposed to making your own. Its a monstrous transport so kind of weird ruleswise but it's a fairly solid firebase for cheap that is hard to kill

You could use Big Trakks and use up less slots - since you can take them in 1-3 sizes.
