A while back I posted a 500 point list and asked for some feedback on it, many thanks to the people that responded. I was in the process of thinking how to enhance my list, but at this time in my gaming groups escalation campaign, we have gone up by 250 points, making my list allowance 750.

So, I decided to ditch the combined arms detachment even though Ob Sec is awesome and instead went for a Blood Host detachment, with a few changes for what I have.

Slaughtercult
Chaos Lord w/ Juggernaut of Khorne, Goredrinker, Power Maul, Sigil of Corruption = 190
8x Bloodletters = 80
8x Bloodletters = 80
5x Possessed = 150
1x Chaos Spawn = 32
1x Chaos Spawn = 32

Auxiliary
Soulgrinder w/ Phlegm Bombardment = 165

= 749

I'm hoping that the Chaos Spawn can wrack up easy Blood tithe points or VP as well as provide ablative wounds for the Chaos Lord, who is pimped out with Goredrinker and a Maul for Concussive. Thoughts? Admittedly a lot of heavy lifting will be done by the Soulgrinder/Lord but maybe I can get some free Fleshhounds to harass units with.

Interesting list you have got there. I like the Lord on the juggernaut, but i would look into taking the spawns i a unit of two if they are to be bodyguards as they would tank more wounds in a single turn. this would of course give you 1 less blood tithe point.

As for the rest of the list I would swap the Soulgrinder for a maulerfiend /w magmacutters (130 pts.), as it would be able to keep up with the Lord and his spawn bodyguards, buying more time for the slower elements of the list, primarily the two units of bloodletters.
I would put the 35 pts. saved by this into a couple of bloodreaper upgrades, as well as a banner of blood.

This is based on my local meta however, as i see a lot of vehicles at lower points.

I know it's a bit controversial but at this low points level I kind of favour the Axe on the Lord. He'll be tough to deal with and then having to deal with the thirster afterwards may be enough (even wounded) to really overwhelm. I'd try to cut 1 unit of bloodletters down to cultist to fit a rhino for the possessed (next most inexpensive blood tithe at the worst).

Soulgrinder I'm ok with but the Bombardment I'm iffy on. At 750 points there are way less tools to deal with him out there so I wouldn't want to park him. It also gives a bit more target saturation
