I'm thiking on buying the DAngels strike force and wondered wether or not this list could be seen as competitive all while not going really overboard:

HQ: Sammael rocking on sableclaw. 200pts

FA: 3x RW black knights with a grenade launcher. 120pts
3x RW bikers witha meltagun, vet sarge with fist. Attack bike with multi-melta. 180pts

Working with the battle force is tricky as Sammael too expensive at 500pts - ideally you'd want to swap him for a bike librarian (or chaplain). Black knights on the other hand are an excellent decision; especially at low points. If you can take more of these then do. I'd be looking to get a second box of these instead of the regular raven wing, and I'd be taking them with all plas - no grenade launchers. Extra points can go towards the speeder and/or attack bike

As above: unfortunately putting 200 of 500 points into any one model is not a good play (unless it's a riptide!)

I did very well at Adepticon's 400 point Combat Patrol event with:

Ravenwing Strike Force
Chaplain on bike
4x Black Knights (grenade launcher)
3x Black Knights (no launcher)

At 500 points you could just play three units of three Black Knights and maybe upgrade your Chaplain.

Ravenwing Sargents don't have two weapons so they don't have enough attacks to justify power weapons. You could give a chaplain a power fist tho. But Black Knights are all you need to shred anything you're likely to see at 500 points.

Keep in mind: If you're playing an elite army in tiny games, usually you're not playing the objectives. You're playing to table your opponent.

I agree as well you don't want to drop a lot of points in a small game, trust me I learn that lesson....unless its a Knight in the king of the hill game lol. But like axisofentropy wrote go Black Knights or if you can Ravenwing strike force (I think you can do it for 500 points).
