Any special rule which must be used at the start of a player turn cannot be used the turn you turn up from reserve.

Nova reactor isn't done at the start of the turn, but the start of the movement phase, so it is ok.

Thanks I actually found a post after a deeper search. Is this also true for the forge world xv109 can it basically do its thrust as it comes on from reserves on board edge not deep strike?
