Hey everyone

It's been awhile since I've been on dakkadakka (like 7 years, and even when I was active back then I just lurked), and I thought it would be nice to come back to it.

I haven't played any wargames besides the occasional small warmachine/DZC match here and there since freshman year of highschool. I used to be really into 40k but eventually got out of it since my friends I played with lost interest and I barely had any money to spend on my army.

Since my college recently let out for the summer and I've had too much freetime to know what to do with, I have decided to get back into 40k and get a job with the sole purpose to support the hobby


It feels good to actually be posting on here, and I look forward to having a good time and painting some cool models.

I have no idea what 40k army I want to get into, since the game has changed a bit since I left (shooting is now favored over CC? woah, crazy), but I'm liking the looks of Tau and Chaos Daemons atm.
Also, I'm looking for people to play with, as I enjoy the occasional casual match between painting units.

Welcome to Dakka! You said you are interested in Tau; as a Tau player I can recommend them, as they are fun to play and paint. They have some of the coolest models and are pretty competitive. No matter which army you pick, as long as you have fun with it you can't go wrong!

Love the look of Tau but hate seeing them across the table from me...Khorne doesn't stand much of a chance against them at the moment but hopefully that will change soon
