So here I am up and running my blog again. I sold of my most hardcore tournament armies and went back to my roots: The greenskins.

The thought of this project is to paint the Orks to the top of my ability however long it may take.

Som sneak peaks of the work I´ve done so far:

5 of my Tankbustas

The Killakan in the making. Got some minor stuff to do (mostly glyphs) before I make a base for it.

In both cases there is a step by step sort of how I´ve worked from start to stop.

Hope you like it and comment on my progress. Love to hear your opinions.

Wow! Your yellows are absolutely awesome as are your skin tones.

I've got to say I'm not a fan of the stock Tankbusta models but you've made them look really cool.

What a superlative start to a Waaaaagh!

Thank you very much.
Lots of testing til I stuck with what you are looking at.

Flash gitz yellow airbrush over black
Agrax earthstone wash
Flash glitz highlight
Ice yellow for extreme highlight

Man I love the leather, these look great! I'm surprised at how bright the yellow looks after priming black, I think it looks a little too bright/clean/umie. That's just nitpicking

Add some busted tank parts to their bases! You could even use some painted steel wool for the remains of flaming wreckage.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Haha nice one. I know it's not ork-dirty butin my try and error i fell for the 'umie yellow style.

And thanks for the tip. I bought 2 kilos Ork bits so bits I got.
Maby I'll play around with some water effect. Puddles here and there.
We'll see. Great tip again

I'd just keep it simple with a wash and a drybrush and a neat colour on the trim. Maybe a hint of brown in the wash or the drybrush.

I'll keep it in mind.
There is a light highlight on the base which my camera didn't pick up tho. A little more wouldn't hurt tho.

I painted up a bombsquig real fast this morning

Update again.

After putting my son to bed I got an idea for how to paint a Deffkopta so here is some 30 min work in including cleanup.
