Washing Machine took week 8 by landslide.

This week we feature Primarchs. I have deliberately left out Horus as I feel it could be a runaway so quit yer yappin'.

So whos the most iconic?

Lol, I saw this and immediately thought "is he out of his mind, it's Horus and anybody who says otherwise is wrong!" Then I noticed he is missing from the poll, then I read your post. Clever lad

I voted Leman Russ because I think he had one of the most fleshed out backstories earlier on than most. Maybe that's just me remembering him best from the early days, though.

Certainly, Sanguinus could be up there too. Gulliman as well, as much as I dislike to admit it.

Actually with Horus missing I had to think for a moment

But in the end Sanguinius gets a pretty strong second place.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

I voted Angron myself, when I think of a Primarch on the battlefield, he just springs to mind instantly as an icon of whirling death.

Although Magnus was a close second for me.

I gotta give this one to the angel. If you know about 40k you probably know sanguinius and his story.

Guilliman is THE Primarch.
The one that made the Codex ! Everyone know about him, he had so much influence on the Imperium.

Probably Sanguinius. Horus obviously claims it if he is included but fair play for not including an obvious answer.

Weird. Sanguinius has his own holiday that people celebrate and is probably the most famous figure in the entire Imperium, bar the Emperor himself.

I honestly can't tell whether OgreChubbs is a troll or not. His horrendous spelling and grammar don't help the matter...

I'd say it depends on prespective. with the obvious fact that people are gonna be biased towards their fav legions primarch, generally from an IC POV proably Sanguinius.

OOCly I'd say Gulliman. one way or another everyone knows him, everyone has an opinion on him, and he's used as the basis of comparison.

people compare all other Primarchs to Gulliman.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I agree with the in universe being Sanguinius, and out of universe being Guilliman.

Guilliman was the loyalist that had the most far reaching impact on the Imperium. The only primarch that influenced the Imperium more was Horus, by lighting it on fire and making the Emperor nothing but a figurehead.

Sanguinius is one of the few primarchs that’s been big in the fluff since they existed. Before BL fleshed everything out in the HH series, how many of the big guys were on record as doing something?

Horus, obviously with the whole heresy thing.
Sanguinius, for his ill-fated duel with the above.
Guiliman for writing the codex?

Most of the primarchs were a one-liner. Here is a name and a basic personality. Usually a bad in-joke or a pun.

Sangunius. The first piece of artwork I ever saw was the Arch Traitor standing over his corpse, with the stalwart Emperor preparing to duel. Pure Awesome. Even though he was dead in that photo, lol.

I guess the one thing we all agree on is the Khan is definitely NOT iconic.

Despite choosing them as my legion (as they fit my personality the most), the White Scars didn't really play a large part in the HH. I'm not even sure what sort of fluff the Khan is in, excluding that he hated Mortarian and was buddy buddy with Horus, as well as Sanguinius and Magnus(?) on virtue of the Stormseers.

White Scars were predominately neutral while the Khan turned detective and could have just as easily turned traitor had the Alpha Legion not sent conflicting messages.

Sanguinius absolutely.

Guilliman is a secretary, the Wolf and Angron are too one-dimensional and while Dorn fits the role, he's been made to look stupid too many times.

Magnus is pretty cool, right guys? I mean, before that team killing furry came along.

he's about as 'traitorious' as the Dark Angels at most (they both bombed fenris at one point ) Beyond that, the non-exiled Thousand Sons (still red) have done nothing against the Imperium of man, and he stands as the only daemon primarch(again, not so much by choice, but by a forced hand) to NOT side with Abbadon. Compared to the Lion (team killer), Russ (team killer), or Guilliman (power hungry arch-traitor of it all ) Magnus is pretty damned loyal.
