Hi guys, a simple question for you:
I have a certain SM opponent claiming that the FAQ does not apply to him as he plays 30K marines, not 40K ones. However he still claims that he gains the advantage of the new psychic powers.

I just want to know if I am arguing from the morale high ground or not.

Ask him what core rulebook he is using to play said 30k marines.

Any FaQs for the BrB will apply to him as 30K uses it (it just adds additional rules and changes on top of it). Note that the FaQs GW have been uploading on Facebook are still drafts, however, and aren't technically released to be used in games (just for feedback).

Any FaQs specifically for Codex: Space Marines, Blood Angels, Dark Angels & Space Wolves won't apply though.

Also the Legion list doesn't have access to the new Psychic Powers, unless your group has house ruled it. FW have released 0 FaQs about it and the only response they've given to people who've asked is "you can house rule them to if you want".



Hang on... is this that same guy who keeps mixing 30K and 40K stuff in the same army (which you can't do)? If so he'll probably ignore your complaints like normal (even though he's 100% wrong).
