none are a great option since they are mostly overkill anti infantry. the Dakkajet has a role as anti air though and thats the one I ran the most.

I haven't used even looked at the new one yet

I run Dakkajets in my 2k point Blitz Brigade list as they make for a nice turn 2 strafing run to put some shooting on targets my battlewagons and orks can't (or would prefer to not) shoot. It is by no means efficient but it fits the theme list while being passably effective.

I personally use the fighta-bomba from FW. More gunz, More bombs, and no risk of it crashing when it comes to doing a bombing run.

I have actually never used the blitza or burna bommer. I don't like the blitza, as ~140 points for two shots seems steep.

And while the burna missiles seem decent, they're just too expensive.

Dakkajet is admittedly pretty meh against vehicle targets, but I find it damn fine at anti infantry. Or, I suppose, I did until it lost a BS at ground targets. They are absolutely awful at anti-air, especially well armored targets like heldrakes and storm ravens.

Wazbom.......actually I kind of like. Very accurate AP2 blast that's easy to get a no-cover-saves shot on targets, and can hit just about anything on the board. Smasha gun hasn't hit in 2 games with it, not surprising.

The blitza bommer, pretty much every time.

The initial impression is "what? Only two bombs?? That's WORTHLESS!" but I can count on one hand the number of games where I actually had a turn in which I had no bombs left.

To achieve that, generally, you can't:

-come in turn 4
-blow yourself up with the bomb rules
-get shot down
-have to jink and thus not bomb for a turn
-have a turn where you don't manage to pass over an enemy unit you want to bomb with your 90 degree turn

It's a lot like the IG manticore. I've had maybe 2 turns total in all my games with it where I've run out of missiles and had to just be a box with a heavy bolter on it. And it actually has way fewer instances than the blitza where it won't want to/wont be able to fire.

Blitza bommers supply something the ork codex definitely lacks, which is relatively reliable high strength low AP shooting attacks. With it, you can damage vehicles that need to be damaged, and you can do stuff almost nothing else in the codex can, like wiping the smile off the face of that smarmy SM player with the invisible bike unit.

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"
