I mean this is a really dodgy picture for judging scale. Most of the beetles obscured. I can't tell if those are dryads or treelords; they could be either. Its at an angle so you can't tell if the plaguebearers or half elf things are correctly scaled. Is Alarielle just human sized in this pic?

Also, just as an aside, but I find it really weird that a god needs to use a mount, much less a giant beetle to war. I get that shes presumably a spellcaster but if its a god it kind of doesn't matter.

Those look like dryads so I'm guessing hurricanum size or bigger.

Gods riding beasts into battle is pretty common, actually. There's hundreds of examples but two of the most known are Apollo's chariot and Odin's eight-legged horse shown below.

Do they need them, probably not (unless they're fighting other gods in which case you need every advantage) but they're gods, they can do whatever they want.

I'd reckon similar in mass to Nagash or Archaon, much shorter but a lot wider and bulkier, if the beetle is in proportion then we can't see most of it after all.

Alarielle herself looks to be about 2-3 times the height/bulk of there gular Elves in the pic, so significantly larger even than a Stormcast or Bloodbound Hero...

Yeah, I'm guessing somewhere between huge and massive!

I doubt it (but will welcome the model with open arms) as Sigmar is now more a leader god than a warrior god and some (maybe much) of his power is invested in the stormcast and Sigmar's storm.

Hmm, apparently somebody on faeit reckons she isn't riding the giant beetle and the model is like Nagash.

I mean, that picture she definetly does look to be on the beetle and shes got her wings drawn up.

Be good if that's true like. I might even get the model if they did that. Since I don't want to buy a plastic beetle kit....

Not gonna lie, that sounds amazing anyway. But it might look a bit dodgy if she is any bigger than Archaon (without Dorghar).

True, I mean Nagash has no business being that enormous either really. Hes just a liche.

I am guessing they will all follow the formula of either being giant like Nagash or riding some sort of mount.

Malekith - Hes merged with his dragon so he has become the monster. I am just imagining this black metal upright half dragon with wings

Its a shame hes not Karl Franz like.

Reading the End Times omnibus they make it pretty clear that he just possesses his dead body. So when Deathclaw and all the Reiksguard die he feels sorrow that he doesn't know them like Karl did; I think seeing Deathclaw die draws some memories into his mind but that's about it.

BTW is Karl Franz actually his descendent? I thought they elected their Emperors like in HRE? The book mentions him being atuned to one of his blood.

It is mention in Archaon book of the End Times that It was Sigmar that came back with Karl Franz memories in his head.
I don't think he has any blood connections to Sigmar other then him being the Emperor of the empire and holding his hammer.
