Hello dakka, I was referred here by a mate to get some assistance for the tournament we've both been enrolled in, it's a 1750 tournament with 12 'player comp' points (I think ) and I've got no idea how to proceed. I'd like to do well, but having problems designing a list, here's what I've got:

Imperial knight
Skitarii 'get started'
Dark angles 'get started'
3 biker librarians
Scions army ( 4 tauroxes, 6 scions squads, 2 command squads, 2 Valkyries)
2 Inquisitors + Coteaz
imperial guard with bullgryns, wyvern, 2 russes, 4 las cannon teams, 3 guard squads, 2 command squads

I was thinking maybe the 3+ re-rollable jinking dark angel units joined by librarian biker conclave with a knight. Or the mounted tauroxes with Skitarii + knight support. But I'm stuck, please help

IMO:

IG CAD
CCS with Camo Gear
2 Veteran Squads with Lascannons, Snare Mines/Camo Gear
Wyvern
Leman Russ Battle Tank, no upgrades (run him solo)
Leman Russ Battle Tank, no upgrades (run him solo)

IK Oathsworn Detachment
(Whatever Knight you have here)

Dominus Maniple (Skitarii Get Started)
Onager with Icarus Array (Magnetize this BC there are so many good options for this bad boy)
Vanguard, no upgrades
Techpriest Dominus, no upgrades

I think that's a solid start to your list...

Add some deep striking Scions to kill things and claim objectives. I'm not sure what's in the Dark Angels kit but maybe there's something useful in there?

I added camo to the vehicles, and took the thermal cannon, sword and sky fire auto cannon on knight, this in total puts me at around 1400 problem is that the max is 3 detachments so what else should I be adding?

You need to get the "player comp" system. that's going to strongly influence your list building, especially your Imperial Knight.

Your collection seems um haphazard. What models do you have available?

Not much to add here, other than I played against a Scions list recent that just spammed out min-squads in missile wielding tauroxes and allied in a Knight Crusader (the all-shooty one).
It was awesome.
Do that lol although you'd have to find more Scion models I guess.

Militarum Tempestus platoon, specialize each squad to take on a certain type of target.

Put some of them (the most important ones) in Taurox vehicles to get them up the board and to protect them. They can run at the flanks of your knight.

Make the ones that aren't in Taurox vehicles deep strike onto the field.

I'd reccomend the list lex made, except eithout adding scions or Skitarii add the raven wing strike force with mounted Libby, mounted chaplain with S+3ap3 mace, command unit with apothecary and the darkshoud + vortex jet.
