If you are going to take the supression force I urge you to take a third whirl wind. The combo of twinlinked and shred is incredibly powerful - and you should be removing a lot a models a turn because of it. With 2 its kinda...meh.

I would also urge you to take las plas instead of twin linked las. The conversion is easy if you have the twin las modeled. Just cut off a las barrel - cut 2 plasma guns in half glue them together and glue in place of the barrel. It's a much better weapon.

It's a good fun gladius for play with friends. You will have a hell of a good beer and pretzel game. On the flipside, you will get annhilated in competitive games. If you wanna tighten it up; more grav, no dreads, pods if ultramarines, switch to WS if razorbacks.

Overall not a bad list.

Where are your HQs going? You don’t really have any choppy squads. As much as I like HB/TML speeders, swapping one out for an assault squad could work. I’ve had good luck with Cassius in a pod with them. Land, drop 3 flamers on someone, charge the survivors next turn.

Grav pistols are overpriced. If you really want to take one, they pair better with an axe. He would be better off with artificer armor to tank wounds. Or capheract TDA for S&P shenanigans.

The only real problem I have with the tac squads are the powerfists. And the lost opportunity to get a little melta in.

I like the concept of HB dev squads, but do you need more of that in your list? Not a fan of PCs at all these days. 4xLC is my dev squad of choice. If you run out of points/models, you can cut them with some MLs as needed. Makes them more flexible at the cost of AV power (which is why I take them)

Dread is fine.

I’ll agree that the 3rd WW would be nice. They get a good squadron bonus, and they are not that expensive (points wise) Speeder might benefit from specialization, but I can’t fault you for rocking the classic tornado.

I've altered the list abit, whats your opinions of this one?

HQs will probably go in the razorbacks

Razorbacks will have las/plas later on when i get the bits for it. (I hate to proxy stuff)

I will never remove the dreadnoghts from my lists, they are my distraction carnifexes.

If i could find the points I would switch the devastator heavy bolters with lascannon and maybe upgrade the captain some

First off, looks like a fun list to play so don't take any suggestions if you don't want to.

Plasma gun + melta bomb is not a great combo - if you want to assault with the bomb you can't fire the plasma guns.

I'd drop the extra armor on the dreads - they will most likely get popped and not stunned.

You almost always want to put captain on bike with a command squad with bikes, all grav. Or atleast a better loadout for your captain who is not living up to his full potential. With the new FAQ atleast if you give him a jump pack he gets to reroll the charge distance for whichever unit he is in.

I would try not to do so much mixing of your weapon types in general - more focus. Like your landspeeder should be MM+MM or HF+HF not mix of both.

Even your dreads I would focus one for hordes and one for vehicles (or just both for vehicles - the rest of your army is pretty good shooting at infantry)

I like the new list a lot better. Something to consider. When i run 2 dreads in gladius i like to use assault cannons on them. It gives me the option of not deploying the dreads in the pods and using them for additional fire support and cc support on your advance - this allows you to use the pod as an objective grabber without throwing away a dread in the process. With a mm you are kind of limited in the ranged support option - it cost more but i think its worth it.
