Hi Dakka. I was over at warhammer world on sunday and took a tour of the gallery. Have to say I wasn't expecting such a great display. So many brilliant little (and big) things to see. The dioramas were spectacular. I had my slr to hand and decided to upload the best of the bunch (in my mind) of the photos I snapped. I already posted this over in the local games section but figured people who don't get the chance to see it might like a look.

I was there last month with The Independent Characters, and while the pictures are gorgeous, they don't do the place justice. It's really something you need to see for yourself.

Ive going there for a few months on and off for games. Never got round to checking out the exhibit until now. Its definitely worth the money and It really is something you have yo see in person.

It's kinda sad that its all IoM being showcased when there amazing things that can be done with the Xenos armies.

That's partly photo bias and partly true.

The thing it, there are loads of awesome things done with the xeno armies in the exhibit as well, but the dioramas all have them fighting against different IoM factions, because that's the iconic thing - humans vs something Other.

But yeah. The photos cannot do any of it justice. I spent twenty minutes (I was being rushed) just walking round the Ultramarines vs Chaos diorama alone finding new details to be wowed at or laugh over... and I find Space Marines utterly dull and stupid.

That's my fault really. There's a fairly even spread but I do like the IoM imagery a lot so I took a lot more photos of them. That and Tau. Since there's like 4 IoM armies theres gonna be lot on show too.

There was a big diorama of Eldar vs Tyranids which was great. But at that point I was having to delete older photos on my memory card to fit more on. Poor planning on my part.
