So, this is from the suppelement. It's kind of cheap formation that gives good bonus - reroll failed ot hits if you shoot a unit that controls an objective. However, how this works with Imperial Fists or whatever successor or custom chapter you got there using their rules. They reroll any to hit fails with bolter weapons, so does that mean you can reroll twice failed to hit?

You can't re-roll a re-roll. See 'Re-rolls' (pg. 11, main rulebook).

so yeah stormlance demi company doesn't synergize all that great with Imp Fists. which might be why they don't have access to the formation as part of their decurion

They can take it as a stand alone formation. Just not as useful for them as for others.
