Hi Dakka - Getting ready for a friendly game with a friend. Want to try a CAD, but I don’t know exactly what he’s bringing (usually AM, CSM, or Orks), so I need to be flexible. I don’t have any souls grinders yet, so that’s that. Here’s the list:

Daemon Prince - Goredrinker, Daemonic Flight, Warp-Forged Armor, Collar of Khorne
Herald - Exalted Locus of Wrath
7 Bloodletters + 1 Bloodreaper - Banner of Blood

I know a lot of people hate on Possessed, but I totally ravaged this same friend many times with them. At a minimum, he'll sink a lot of fire power into them (I usually run them behind a squad of bloodletters).

Anyway, any feedback is appreciated.

I was thinking that I should drop one of the Helbrutes for a squad of cultists. Any suggestions or feedback on that?

I recommend using a Slaughtercult formation instead, mostly because of the nice Blood Tithe bonus, and you seem to have all the necessary models for it as well.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to bring my Heldrake and I don't have Warp Talons to make the appropriate formation in a Slaughter Cult.

Blob cultists led by a Herald with Hatred loci usually performs quite well, as does the DP w GD however I think youve overlooked the fact that you could take a Bloodhost Slaughter cult with an allied daemonkin CAD simply drop a helbrute for the cultists and you'll be good as gold.
