Hello dakka, I trialed my freak show list that I posted some time ago but the majority of the units underperformed in almost all situations. I've remade it from bottom up and haven't got a complete reliance on the actual Ld shenenigans. Please note that it is community comp (http://www.communitycomp.org) so there shouldn't be many absurd units in each army as something like a hunters eye librarian, centurion squad with invisibility or new SM powers stops them from taking gladius, spamming bikes or any good units. And it also limits it to 3 detachments.

Here's the list, I'm not sure who should be the warlord.

Eldrad and Archon join the cast of players, between them casting Veil, Fortune, Shriek and maybe a Mind War, they have a large -Ld modifier, and as long as not too many TH/SS terminators assault and I can get fortune I should be fine melee wise. The archon can use phantasm grenades to wipe a unit if they're not ATSKNF or Fearless special rule(excludes Daemonic instability, mob rule, zealot. Models not actually in synapse range). The spectres drop down near massed units for the archangel to kill all non fearless and ATSKNF models. The raiders and serpents take out light vehicles and try not to get tabled T1.

A few notes, I'm not sure if there's any points that can be shuffled bar the archons power sword, I'm at 11 comp points but the TO is only using it as a system to filter Strong armies out and it doesn't affect our scores. I'm worried about reserves not arriving, should the arcangel succubus be swapped for a Autarch and more spectre models?

Ive now trialled it and decided to drop the DE CAD to a allies detatchment, drop 1 kaballite unit, drop succubus, give archon husk blade, add in a unit of scourges with haywire/heat lances, add a member to the specters and give the exarch a haywire gun, add in a autarch with fusion, shard of anaris and warp spider pack to the scourges. I'm now at max comp points, but I'm still not sure about warlord and fragility of harlequin deathstar.

just go one DE character and make sure to give him armor of misery (if you're looking for Ld shenanigans). Take the heroes path for harlies to grab solitaire, another seer (psychic shriek) with mask here instead of other formation, and jester who can shoot. One of my issues with Cast of Players is that they are often running so the jester doesn't get to shoot and is an expensive liability.
