Hello all, first time posting here. My friend and I have been getting into WH40k, but I took somewhat of a break from it while only having the makings of a 500pt Imperial army. He went for Orks and has built up about 2000pts worth of units, but hasn't played them in a match so we're both quite a bit noobish at the game. I've decided to scale up to 1000pts and had something like this in mind:

Some of the decisions are based on things I already have (the psyker and CCG). I know his army has a lot of boys with trucks, along with a handful of other units (bikers, nobz, even a few koptas). Since I don't know what exactly he would field, I'm trying a few different things here (regulars with flamers to stay with the armor, mobile infantry, artillery). Any suggestions/ comments would be welcome, thank you.

Wyverns shred boyz, good choice.

The infantry platoon wants the primaris psyker, try to get some buffs off like prescience or invisibility?
-coupled with the orders from the company command, they should do some damage...

Melta vets in a chimera are a good choice. Pack a punch and cost efficient.

Punisher Pask is amazing, and will reliably rend vehicles & hordes to death...
note that his executioner buddy no longer re-rolls gets hot from preferred enemy though....

all in all looks good!

If you can, give your astropath a pistol. its a free upgrade and is literally 1 billion times better than a ccw. I feel one of your command squads should have 3 grenade launchers instead of the flamers. Bit of a mixed bag but stragnth 6 krak or 3 blast at 24 inches is more useful than you might think. With the new FAQs the eradicator or exicution might be a better tank for you. The mbt isnt terrible at this points either. Just do bolter sponsons if you take any. Also just noticed this, the pcs has one too many special weapons. It 3 and one is allowed to be a heavy flamer.

I think every model in the PCS excluding the commander is able to take special weapons, cause the codex says: "Any model that's not already upgraded may take one weapon from the special weapons list" or something equivalent.
