Just the Bare Metal

Hello!

Twenty-one year old painter from Switzerland, been around the B&C for a while (Dosjetka) and now here to share some of my most recent work, namely Salamanders and some Hasslefree Miniatures models!

They still bases and decals but are mostly finished. The rest of the squad that still needs paint:

And now my latest work, Layla, that I finished last night:

My first attempt at painting black marble:

Comments and criticism appreciated!

Love me some Salamanders, and those are great! The Hasslefree mini looks good as well!

Thanks chaps! Glad you like 'em.

Since I had already set things up for taking pictures, I took out some of my older models and snapped a few pics of them. Here they are in (almost) chronological order, from early 2014 to just a couple of months ago.

Finn, Hasslefree (2014)

'Genesis Chapter Space Marine', Games Workshop (2014)

'Imperial Fists', Games Workshop (from left to right: 2014, 2015, 2016)

'Dark Eldar', Games Workshop (2015)

'Dynamic Tiriel', Hasslefree (2015)

'Jeanne', Hasslefree (2015)

'Admiral Edwards', Hasslefree (2016)

As you can see, all of my models have a general lack of proper bases, something I'm looking to rectify with upcoming models.

Again, comments and criticism are much appreciated.

Hum. Well maybe this might generate a bit more interest.

Very different from my usual style. Dark, gritty and dirty. But I like it and I'm thinking of perhaps continuing with this style for a few more models to see how far I can go.

Anyway, feedback welcome and appreciated, as always!

Very cool, love the limited palette and overall sombre tone of the piece!

Thanks Paradigm!

Here's another!

Not as happy with this one as the first one but hey, it's another model I can cross of my list.

Thoughts and feedback welcome as always!

Please put those salamanders on bigger bases - they look amazing! I shall use them as guidance for my future squads for the heresy ! Battle brothers to my Fists. Speaking of Fists...

I think your yellows are better for 2014 and 2016

Thank you, Teban! The Salamanders will eventually get bigger bases.

I finished painting an Astral Claw yesterday. First 100% completed (painted AND based) Space Marine since starting the hobby just under ten years ago...

Very nice indeed! Great basing, brilliant metallic work and subtle weathering.
