Hiya everyone I have been for a while looking into new type of wireless adapter for my Desktop it does not have a built in one because I built the computer myself and knew it would be pretty expensive, my current one a DWA Wireless Adapter has last me for three years.

But I constantly use my internet for both work and entertainment

Anyone have any recommendations?

Have you considered just using internet over powerline? Not very expensive, just uses your ethernet port, and lets you hardwire into your network from anywhere in the building.

If your wiring is good; some older houses run into issues. And even then, it tends to be at least as expensive as a wireless PCI-E card. If your wireless signal strength is good, I'd stick with a wireless card for many use cases.

I pointed a family member to this one recently, and it's worked pretty well for them.

Unforunately I have to bring my computer or desktop for game shows (Where I have to bring it out and has to have a stable internet connection) So cords are sadly a no go, I have one, but my old house has horrible wiring for internet.

Its something my parents Have put on the lowest of the priorities

Even though a stable internet connection with wired connection is even better than a wireless connection in most situations.
