I want to make an Ork Warboss in Mega Armor for my Blood Axe Waaagh! However I seem to be at an impasse over how to make him.

I know the MANz model or Ghaz would be the easiest to do and would look properly Orky with little to no size issues, but would I love them?

The Centurion would give me a great bulky body that really stands out in a crowd of other Mega Bosses and I think size wise it's fairly close.
One of the Dreadnoughts would be a bit over large, but honestly he's a Friggin' Warboss, he's supposed to be imposing. But with these two would I still love me at the end of the build.

The Baby Carrier is way too big (but again Friggin' Warboss) and mostly a joke but I still (sorta) know what I would do if I went that route. But would my Wife still love me?

I was leaning towards the Furioso kit if I went Dreadnought, but then I made the mistake of checking Forgeworld.
So now I'm even further away from making up my mind on what to use. I figure letting the experienced Dakkanauts sound off will help me push through this little bit of indecision.

The new Orruks, they'd make a mean conversion, with some 40k bitz of course

AoS makes some really nice mecha armour nobs now a days. You can try the mega armour boss from the new PoS release opps AoS release.

As this is for Blood Axes, a looted imperial something would make sense, and be more interesting than a Meganob (and stand out from meganob squads).

A dread could work, with some conversion to shrink it a bit(i.e. representing that it's been made from bits of a wrecked dread and given to a severely wounded warboss who's lost several limbs) - I'd probably keep the legs and build a shorter new armoured torso. Use the cheapest dread you can find, covering any defects with plasticard and rivets.
And I've seen similar things done with imperial Sentinels too.

A centurion could also work well, and be less conversion work.

Bumped into a pal in whw today who had done this. Looked absolutely brilliant.

For what it's worth, I have a how-to of how I made mine at the following link with step-by-step photo steps:

http://www.40kforums.com/vb/showthread.php/44477-A-guide-on-how-to-make-your-very-own-mega-armor-boss?highlight=make+mega+armor

But if you wanted a base, centurion would be the best of the given options. Noughts look a little dumb, in my experience, and the rest are just too big.

The new AoS orruk warboss would be the best base, but for the love of mork, but a little more effort into it than gluing on a random gun. Seen a couple very uninspired and lazy builds in that vein.

GW really needs to get off their ass and make a mega armor warboss. I have 2 homemade ones, and I'd probably buy theirs.

^ This! ^
Though by not giving us one they force us to find something else and "Make it Orky!"

Clearly I made the right choice asking the Dakkanauts for advice on this. Already looking into some of the options presented to me here, and reworking my ultimate Waaagh! goals a little bit.
Already have the AoBR Warboss, was going to use him as a Kaptin to my Mega Armored Warboss Admiral (or maybe Kommodore) May just make several Mega Armored Warbosses in charge of the different specialist Hordes.
Why let something as mundane as FOC's get in the way of a good conversion spree? Still works for the fluff, Ghaz has several smaller Warbosses working in his Waaagh! Why not a few Blood Axe Freebooter Kaptins working for a Kommodore?

Still need to figure out what to use for the rest of them though.

The new IronJawz Orruk Warboss is what you want. Give him some wires and a claw and boom, a WAAAGHboss you'd be proud of.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
