What is your preferred method for moving the largest warmachines in the grimdark future from your display shelf to the gamestore?

I haven't seen too many practical commercial options and I am curious how folks make do and move those titans and knights around.

-Magnetize them or build them very robust
  &
  - Use boxes with your own cut out mattress foam / bubblewrap / foam peanuts or whatever you want.

Or if you really dont like to transport it leave it at the store.

If they're super heavy, I guess I would use a shipping container or something suitably robust.

Actual answer: Ikea wooden box with meta reinforced corners, lots of foam inside and parts dismantled

I own two Imperial Knights, a Baneblade and an Eldar Wraithknight. I have magnetised the arms of the walkers so that I can easily slip the body into a 'tube' of bubble wrap, I then slip the arms into bubble wrap 'pockets' and then put all this in a cardboard lined plastic box. The box is robust enough to keep most knocks from getting at the internals and I find that two layers of bubble wrap is plenty for plastic models.

My friends with resin models like to have 4 or more layers if they use bubble wrap, but they much prefer foam and use it where possible because resin models are much heavier - I personally have no experience with resin superheavies so I can't comment.

This is why I only play small games outside my house. I don't need a zoning permit and license to rent the heavy equipment to move and protect my big stuff. Especially when it's mostly nids and chaos so it has a ton of thin pokey bitz that love to break off.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I build my own foam trays for them. I do alot of LARP weapon building so I have the foam laying around. Usually if it just a single baneblade though I just it in the floorboard of my back seat

KR Multicase has options for many of them. If I had a Warlord Titan it'd just stay on my shelf though.

I transport my Stormsword/Shadowsword in one of my rather antique GW-cases(along with some other tanks).
My Knight Paladin has his own box, made of re-inforced cardboard, filled with bubblewrap.
  Sadly, I don`t own a Godmachine....yet.
