I'm moving to Belgium for the summer and apparently there are some good Belgian Clubs! http://www.teambelgium.eu/?page_id=1274

I wanted to bring my army inside my PACK 720 bag. It's pretty much a giant square. I know the PACK 420 can fit easily as carry on but the PACK 720 is pretty bunky. Does anyone have any experience bringing these on as carry on bags? I'm worried.

I'll be flying Air France on the Boeing 777-200 and the Airbus A318 aircraft.

I'd definitely call the airline and check dimensions for allowable carry-on and compare it to the figure case numbers. Lately, the last few times I've flown, the airlines have been sticklers for not letting people slide if their carry-on is too large. If your case doesn't fit you're going to probably have to check it and I wouldn't check my army on to an airplane in a soft case Especially going transatlantic. That's asking a bit much and if you've ever had a window seat and seen how gently the bags get loaded and unloaded, not to mention what they might get stuck under in the hold, then you know what I'm talking about.

720 will be a no go. Most Carry ons are 22x13x10 ish. +/- an inch depending on the carrier.

Heres what you do.

Pack your models in just a appropriately sized box that can fit under the seat in front of you. No foam. Be gentle, your minis will be fine. You will be uncomfortable. Dont bring another "second" carry on. Dont let it get a jetway check (aka "a la cart"). The box cannot leave your hands. This is how i travel for tourneys. Dont be a dummy and swing it, or drop it or whatever it.
