I already have a 1k list which I am happy with but I'm trying to take it up to 2k. I've got up to 1625 but I'm not sure how to spend the remaining 375, any ideas?

The praetor joins the dark furys and I think thats pretty much all I need to explain. How do I spend the remaining 375 points, and what should I change with the current list? I want to keep it fairly fluffy while still having some chance at winning some of my games.

I think you'll need a ground tank of some flavour. A Sicarian perhaps? It's got decent firepower (particularly with lascannon sponsons) and isn't too slow (keeping it fluffy with Raven Guard). Other than that I'd have to know what kind of list you wanted to make or what you feel is lacking in the current list that needs to be addressed.

Which sicarian would you suggest? I'm hoping to have my force perform as a fast paced, hard hitting force with stealth elements mixed in. Saying that, what are thoughts on mor deythans with snipers?

I would pick a pair of Sicarans, either two battle tanks or one of each type.

i would find a way to fit in a sicaran and a fire raptor, Fire raptor does work

At this point I'd like to keep flyers limited to transporting my forces, however I will likely get a fire raptor at some point.

I think if you play Raven Guard this way you're not really taking advantage of what distinguishes our legion. You're obviously starting out so this should give you some food for thought as you grow it. This army list will tend to play in a way that favors almost every other legion.

I like Darkwings and veterans are one thing I recommend Darkwings for. You should think of them as a delivery mechanism for units with specific tasks, so if you don't have a clear idea of where they're going and what they'll do having the veterans walk may be better at times. The main advantage of RG is the point efficiency from "infiltrate" and "fleet" that means we don't need transports to get where we need to go.

I'd consider some Rapiers in place of one of the Sicarans, you will be able to set those up in some advantageous positions as they benefit from Infiltrate.

Another thing to consider if you do go down the 2 Sicarans route is that if you decide to expand your army you will be coming up on the Raven Guard legion restriction that prohibits more vehicles than units with Legion Astartes: Raven Guard.

If I drop the darkwings from this list; could, or rather should, I take corax (as I do like his model and his rules)? Or would you suggest something else?

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe the "Flesh over Steel" rule specifically talks about tanks. This would mean that you can have as many vehicles as you like so long as they are not tanks. For example, you could make use of a number of flying transports (such as darkwings) and still be able to take things like sicarans without hitting the limit. It also means that dreadnoughts don't count towards that rule.

IDK, nothing really screams 'Raven Guard' to me, as it seems that this list will be super reliant on the 2 tanks. I say ditch PotL (switch to primarch's chosen if your adamant on low model count) bring out 2 15-20 man tactical squads, and go from there as it's no where near as restrictive or self harming as PotL (once those 2 squishy vet squads die, you give your opponent an extra VP) were to you go that route, it looks like you'd open up another 200 points at least, meaning more dark fury assault squads or some of the sniper guys.
