So I played an 1850 point test game against my friend's Eldar on Sunday and I learned a few things: Sigismund is a beast and can protect the whole squad of Templars by leading the charge, Land Raiders without Armored Ceramite are susceptible to Fire Dragons coming in through a Webway Portal, Artificer Armor on Sergeants can lead to some hilarious AP3 tanking that would normally wipe out a squad...I've never had so much fun trying to not roll a 1.
So after getting totally stomped by Eldar (who would have guessed), I made a few revisions before I start actually going against other 30k players in my area. Let me know what you think, I'm hoping this will be my mostly final list before moving up to 2500!

Sigismund rides with the Templar, Damocles stays hidden in the backfield for reserve manipulation and will hopefully use the Templar's Nuncio Vox for the barrage. Terminators will come in either near the Templar if AP2 is needed, or near the Rhino to defend against units deep striked into my deployment zone, or if I need a point captured. I'm not sure whether the Contemptor needs the graviton gun, but I've never used it before and it sounds pretty awesome compared to 40k grav, suggestions welcome. The Vet Squads are standard, but BS5 Snipers are just too badass to pass up. And the Vindicator adds a 36 inch effective range pie plate as well as another high front AV vehicle to draw enemy fire away from the Land Raider.

for dealing with 30k opponents you need WAAAAY more bodies without the extra hurt to yourself from pride of the legion. Even with your extra rhinos, this army would drop pretty quickly against a 'normal' 30k army

How would you adjust the army list to add more bodies?

swap the 2 vet. tactical squads with 2 20-man tactical squads w/ extra close combat weapons. this should also open up a few extra points for other things as well.
