For a period of time, I did LOTR relevant news updates in a thread dedicated to general models compatible with the SBG system, as some of you may recall. When the number of companies picked up, I started opening appropriate threads in N&R, but they garnered relatively little notice (I suspect because other far more popular topics pushed them far down the page within an hour). As such, it would appear that the most logical thing to do is to create a single 3rd Party release thread here, and update the thread title as and when new releases are made.

At the moment, the two most recently shown items are:-

-An Elven Stormcaller by Unreleased Miniatures.




- A High King of Men (Mounted) By Davale Miniatures

Not a huge fan of the Stormcaller, but that mounted Ele-err... "High King" is brilliant! How have I never heard of Davale before? Is this their first foray into not-middle-Earth?

The Stormcaller pose, at least from this angle, has something "off" in the way the legs are positioned in relation to the torso.

The king is great.

Parallell Universes/Bombur continues with a series of releases.

Their first set of Trolls, coming in at 20 Euros each.

Anatomy of those greens (unreleased miniatures) is bad, torsos and hands are too long, legs are to short etc. On the other hand this "king of man" looks amazing and I will think about buying one

Davale Miniatures has shown off their latest model, up for sale in a few days apparently, called 'heir's cousin'. Looks to be mounted Halbarad, in other words. Looks like it'll have warhorn, bow, and standard as options, and Davale says there'll be an unhelmed head option.
