Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

The Midwest

Hello all.
Just wanted to see what ya'll have been piloting these days.

I've been having a lot of fun with the following list:

Howlrunner, Crack Shot
Omega Leader, Comms Relay, Juke
Scourge, Crack Shot
Zeta Leader, Wired (sometimes using Crack Shot)
Black Squadron Pilot, Crack Shot
99 POINTS

** Edit: I plan on swapping out the BSP for Youngster with Crack Shot; gives me a pilot at PS6 now instead of PS4, while keeping the crack. Puts list at 100 points.

A lot of target priority issues for the opponent, since Howlrunner isn't necessarily the most dangerous threat with Zeta throwing 3-4 dice around.
Flying it in standard block/square formation, with PS8 guys outside, PS7 middle, and the BSP inside.
In the few games I've played with it, it hits hard, and once all the smoke has cleared and formation has been broken, OL is usually left standing with a couple of other TIEs, and can mop up fairly effectively.
Some may say, "Why BSP and not Wampa?", and I say BSP with a Crack Shot is better than Wampa, especially without Palp around.
Give it a whirl, it's a lot more fun than the standard Crackswarm, IMO.

Looks fun. I have wanted to try a crackswarm type of list, but I tried to make it with mostly FO fighters, which just doesn't work given the cost difference between them and regular TIE's. That looks like a decent balance, and it's good to see Zeta Leader being used.

Last week I ran;

The Inquisitor w/ PTL, title, AT, Prockets
Vader w/ Adaptability, EU, title, ATC
Omega Leader w/ Juke, Comms, Stealth Device

97 points.

It was a lot of fun to fly, but I went up against a crackswarm and in the end I just couldn't quite get out of arc due to the amount of opposing ships. Throw in some horrendous evade rolls and it was a loss for me. Looking forward to flying it again this week, but I feel there's some tweaks I could make to maybe optimize it that little bit more, just not sure what. I should note it was also kind of neat to fly a full PS8 squadron, as there was no point in making Vader PS10, I made him PS8 to allow me some flexibility in moving and shooting.

For the past week and a half I've been practicing for the tournament this past weekend, and a bit before that I was playing this list just for fun.

Contracted Scout (Deadeye, R4, Plasma Torps, Feedback Array, Guidance Chimps) x2

Contracted Scout (Deadeye, R4, Proton Torps, Extra Munitions, Guidance Chimps)

Came out to 100 points even. I'm looking forward to trying different triple Jump lists, like Manaroo in the Punishing one with two Scouts, all with Attani Mindlinks.

I started playing this for a rather large local event at the end of April (the Stele Open) that my friend puts on. It was the first time I had played with the TAP and I enjoyed it. This list has been fun to play and I'm currently 6-2 with the list, so that's a plus.

Is what I've been flying for the past two weeks, and may very well be what I take to Regionals at the start of July. Didn't want to do a triple jump list so did this instead after a brief flirtation with running Palob as the third ship.

Too soon to know, but it's great to have a three-ship squad that has some punch.

For the past few weeks my club have been running a 60pts league. 3 lists, at least 2 ships per list.

Been running the following lists:
Rebels=60pts
Lothal Rebel with AC, auto blaster turret, ghost
Zeb with auto blaster turret, phantom

Imperial=60pts
Inquisitor with PTL, prockets, AT, Tie/V1
Valen Rudor with Wired, AT, Tie/V1

S&V
IG-88B with mangler cannon, AT, predator, advanced sensors
Binyare Pirate

Had great success with the Rebel List, with it going 4-1 so far, both the Imperial and S&V are 1-0.

Bruins fan till the end.

I've been flying this set up. mainly due to me being too lazy and reorganizing my stuff to take each week.

Vet Instincts

Sigma Squad Pilot (32)
Advanced Cloaking Device.

had some mixed results with it. it takes people by surprise most times. though the turret weapons are my bane....

I've been playing around with variations on a list like this:
"Echo” (43)
TIE Phantom (30), Recon Specialist (3), Sensor Jammer (4), Decoy (2), Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

“Epsilon Ace” (23)
TIE/fo Fighter (17), Comm Relay (3), Stealth Device (3)

Carnor Jax (32)
TIE Interceptor (26), Veteran Instincts (1), Royal Guard TIE (0), Autothrusters (2), Stealth Device (3)

------

Decoy Echo & Epsilon Ace have been the mainstays...and I've been trying to figure out what the 3rd piece of the puzzle is (and it might be dropping the jammer to FCS (or similar ) to fit in Vader w/ adaptability )
