I... actually don't know. Help?

I prefer to paint while listening to something. It's just that I can't concentrate if I don't have anything in my ears. So right now I listen to

-H3H3 Productions, their reaction videos are fun even if you don't watch them

-Ethan and Hila, the people behind H3H3, make fun videos

-Vsauce 1 and 3, make awesome scientific videos

-Veritasium, makes deeper scientific videos

-Lindybeige, talks about medieval/ancient warfare.

-Alternate History Hub/Geography Hub, run by the same guy, he talks about geography and alternate history (duh).

-I Hate EVerything, not as nihilistic as it sounds, he makes movie reviews and talks about subjects he dislikes in a fun way.

-JAR Media, run by IHE and 2 other guys, they make podcasts and reviews.

-MrRepzion, probably the most controversial on this list, he talks about feminism, abuse, racism and other topics. He's made enemies with people like Anita Sarkeesian and Vegan Gains.

So what do you watch/listen to while painting?

Most commonly, music, all sorts, whatever happens to be on my itunes/spotify at the time unless I'm looking for something specific. It's not something I put on specifically to paint to, I have something playing most of the time I'm at my desk anyway.

Radio shows (typically of the comedic variety) and the odd podcast (The Weekly Planet s good if you're into comic book movies and/or general sci-fi stuff, the hosts are very good) I paint to as there's no need to watch. Similarly, TV I know well enough that I don't have to be actively watching, usually old sitcoms like Dad's Army or Red Dwarf that I've seen enough times to know by heart anyway but I can still have a good laugh at. I don't tend to watch films/drama while painting simply as that requires more focus than just listening out for the odd punchline/looking up for a visual gag.

Ah, yeah, I love watching CS: GO games. They take up to 3 hours, perfect for a painting session.

on the forum. Obviously

I only listen to music when I paint.
Watching something is counterproductive, as I have to see what I'm doing when painting.
I don't need my ears to paint though.

Usually power metal or classical, bit of Pink Floyd here, a bit of Muse there.

The Rock

Usually my iTunes library streaming from the cloud, pretty varied music. David Bowie to Muse and ZZ Top. Also been enjoying the Captain America Civil War soundtrack. That, or movies/ TV shows I've seen enough to just listen to them as background noise.

AoS/40k/30k Audio dramas are good too.

Either audiobooks or music. I have about 25 gw audiobooks, and I think Duke by Genesis, Downward Spiral by NiN, and the complete works of Mahler are currently by the cd player I have on my painting table.

A Protoss colony world

I usually listen to music, in particular movie soundtracks. Sometimes when I'm assembling things rather than painting them I'll get on Netflix and put on a documentary, which I listen to more than actively watch.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Lately, I like to watch SurrealBelief's youtube channel for the Total War : Warhammer videos he keeps spamming everyday.

He plays pretty horribly, but he puts out of a lot of content.
