It seems pretty clear that the Houndstar with Cabal is the best new kid on the block in terms of Chaos Deathstars. Question is, what exactly is its makeup and how do you support it? Heres my best go at it:

Cabal:

Sorc: VotLW, ML3, F Axe, Bike, Spell Familiar
Sorc: VotLW, ML3, F Axe, Bike, Spell Familiar
Sorc: VotLW, ML3, F Axe, Bike, Spell Familiar
Sorc: VotLW, ML2, F Axe, Jump Pack

Allied KDK:

Herald: Jugger, Locus of Wrath, Axe of Khorne

Cultists

13x Hounds

Daemons CAD:

Fateweaver
Tz'erald: ML3, Disc, Grimoire
Tz'erald: ML3, Paradox

3 Nurglings
10 Horrors

6 Screamers

So the idea is to have the Disc Herald either join the screamers or bounce between BLoS cover while Grimoiring either the hounds or screamers depending on terrain, match up etc. Foot Herald sits with the horrors and uses paradox to pump out a bargain summon a turn. Basically I really wanted the Grimoire and Paradox in the same list but is it trying to do too much? I figured the Grimoire would be necessary to go toe to toe with other deathstars and that the Paradox Herald would help shore up the lists relative weakness in progressive scoring scenarios.

Do you see a better way of doing it? If so how and where do you see this list struggling?

You forgot your obligatory black mace and a single melta bomb for your squad of sorcs

This is a very cool list. As long as you roll invis. Why the jump pack dude? So you can jink and still shoot with him?

Youre right should probably squeeze some points gor a melta bomb. Dont think black mace is particularly necessary though. Its only truly scary if the particular Sorc that has it rolls Iron Arm.

Jump pack is there because of the FAQ draft allowing a jump pack character to reroll charge diatance for the whole unit. Kinda lame I know, but this isnt supposed to be friendly. Invis is great but defenitely not completely necessary for it to function (I think anyway) If I dont get invis from Fateweaver or the first two Sorcs rolls then Im moving over to Sanctic and Biomancy looking for Hammerhand, Sanctuary, and Endurance. I think Hammerhand is more necessary for winning games against a lot of lists in order to have the damage output necessary to validate the star's existence.

I would support the deathstar with lots of warp charges through pink horrors, and lots of hounds to tie up units and draw out the game, and screamers to shred armor.

Fateweaver is a good idea when taking grimoire, good choice.

Fatey's reroll is necessary when taking grim, but he also loves to use WCs to make his points worthy
Non-mounted Tzeralds double out way to easily at t3, even if you intend to put him in with horrors I'd still throw him on a disc if you can spare the points
