I have recently started playing a DA mixwing, but find that I seem to be weakening my bikes by Jinking nearly each time they are targeted. If I risk losing a bike, I will Jink. This in turn prevents them from removing threats and forces snapshots on expensive guns. Does anyone have any general guidelines on when it is profitable to Jink and when it is better to just take chances with armor save?

If it's not AP3 I tend to just risk the armour save. Whilst 4+ rerollable is better than 3+, it's only marginally so. A large number of non-AP3 shots may cause me to jink as well.

The decision is a little harder with black knights as not only is 3+ rerollable significantly better than 3+, but you're trading off plasma talons rather than bolters too (or grav guns). Made only slightly less of a big deal by their twin-linking.

As a general rule, I tend to jink with regular Ravenwing only when facing AP3 as grav guns aren't the best at snapshotting and 4+ rerollable is only marginally better. Regarding BK I'm usually turbo boosting them across the field anyway so jinking isn't such a bad option.

jink the black knights then charge with them. their snap shots are still twin-linked so it's not a total loss.

Thank you all for the responses. Seems I have been a bit too quick to jink.
