Basically I'm trying to model a duel where a guy has just had his head kicked off. I can't really find any tutorials on adding streaks of blood so was wondering how anyone else does it? This is an example of what I mean as I'm struggling to word it:
Spoiler:

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I... actually don't know. Help?

Wow that's a cool idea. Hmm, hot glue around a wire covered in blood?

An old trick I use to use was to use a hot glue gun to make the streak then stain it red with ink.

However that was more of an amateurish way of doing it so I don't know if it'll be good enough.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I just came off of watching Resident Evil: Damnation. This is tame by comparison

Check WarhammerTV for Blood for the Blood God technical paint. Duncan does a great job of explaining its application

Hot glue, or there was another method I was reading about the other day - dude was using cotton wool and "something" to make long strands that can easily be applied. Can't remember what it was though...

Not tried it, but the tips I've seen are to use UHU glue, and a red clear paint, essentially.

this guy's gotta tutorial on it, using the UHU glue and paint method.

Take a thin plastic bit like a spear haft, take a blow dryer and heat it up, once it turns into spaghetti start stretching it out. Stretch it to the thinness you want, curve it however the blood arc should be, then dunk it in cold water. Paint it a dark red and coat with the blood effect of your choice.
