The Skyshield is an (expensive) Tax but allows the Vampire to start on the Table so I won't risk being tabled by turn1 . If stuff goes bad the bikes can pop onto the Skyshield pad to get the 4+ invul.

The Vampire will be an unkillable brick - 12HP, 4+ invul that is immune to S4 small arms fire. I can use it to drop my guardian blob wherever I want. Bikes and Spiders allow for quick objective grabbing.

I don't expect to win the tourney, but it's an opportunity to use my Vampire in a tournament setting.

To me the first list looks better. I would suggest taking all scat bikes over 2 units with scatterlasers and 1 with shuriken cannons though.
