So I have never bought a single Warhammer miniature set, but I've been painting historical miniatures for some time now. I've been playing Dawn of War extensively and I have decided I would join the ranks of those who paint space marines, specifically the Blood Angels. As I've been looking through my options, I've come across the set "the blood Angels battleforce" which includes a commander of some sort, 10 tactical squad marines, and a dreadnought. I've reviewed this item, but alas, nowhere on the Internet shows whether or not this set includes a transfer sheet of Blood Angels insignia, which is rather frustrating as I do not want to have to paint them freehand or separately buy the transfer sheet. If someone who has this product or knows of it could tell me what is all included, I would be infinitely grateful. Thanks in advance

No transfer sheet, the iconography is all molded on. There is a really good sheet available separately though which has specific squad markings, banners and all sorts.

If you really want the battleforce act quick as it's oop now. Although maybe we're getting a start collecting box, who knows?!

Generic SM kits come with a general transfer sheet, that includes some basic Blood Angel transfers. Not sure if it is in the BA specific kits as well, since they are loaded with molded on details.

Would you guys just recommend me go with the "start collecting space marines" set and buy the separate BA transfer sheet?

Personally I wouldn't, as the dread isn't really suitable as our Furioso. But start collecting space marines is a bit cheaper.

BA can use regular Dreads. You could also use the normal SM codex with guys painted as BA.

I would start with the BA Battleforce and a vanilla space marine tac squad. You should have ample BA bits bouncing between BA and vanilla. If transfers are your thing, the sheets you can get are large, you'll get lots of mileage out of one.

First, Welcome to Dakka! We too like Dat Boi!
But secondly, BA are first and foremost a SM chapter, so many of their kits and transfers will come from that army. I find that buying whatever form of Battleforce is available works best, and you could order furioso bitz off the webz.
